Celebrating All Cultural Diversity

The overall series of Bubbles will explore many of the key issues relevant to contemporary Europe , which has come to be characterised by its cultural diversity.

Whilst the launch series focuses on the London Greek/Cypriot population as an ethnic group, the essence of the storylines holds true for any established ethnic minority in all major cities.

Future episodes will further explore :

• How valid and essential is the concept of national identity?
• Managing the cultural generation gap between migrated parents and UK born children
• Breaking down barriers in traditional stereotyping of cultural groups
• Balancing traditional cultural values and morals with the reality of everyday living in another country
• Evaluating the erosion of traditional cultural values and its effect on family life

The Bubble mission is to continue to use sharp humour and demonstrate tolerance to explore complex, contentious issues surrounding cultural diversity and most importantly bring these stories to a wider audience through mainstream media.
